Land Preparation and Planting
Before planting tamarind, it is important to prepare the land properly. Start by clearing the land of weeds, rocks, and other debris. Plow the soil to a depth of 30 to 40 centimeters to loosen it and improve aeration. If the soil is compacted, consider deep plowing to enhance root penetration.

Tamarind fruits mature within 8 to 10 months after flowering. The pods turn brown and become brittle when fully ripe. Harvesting is usually done manually by shaking the branches or using long poles to dislodge the pods.
The yield of tamarind varies depending on the age of the tree, cultivation practices, and environmental conditions. On average, a mature tamarind tree can produce 150 to 200 kilograms of fruit per year. The yield increases as the tree ages, with some trees producing up to 500 kilograms annually.
